Who We Are

We are The Futon Shop, a California-based furniture company founded in 1976 ~ now celebrating 50 years in business. Our philosophy is “farm to furniture”: we source natural and organic fibers from local farmers, process them on-site, and handcraft everything in California. Our mission has always been to make chemical-free living affordable for everyone.

What We Offer

Our product line spans the entire home:

• Futons – mattresses (organic, wool, cotton, latex, Japanese shiki), frames (Amish-made, wall hugger, wood, outdoor), covers, and complete sets
• Mattresses – organic, wool, latex, vegan, coconut coir, hemp, and crib mattresses, plus toppers and foundations
• Sofas & Furniture – organic and modular sofas, sectionals, vegan leather sofas, leather sofas, platform beds, tatami beds, Japanese furniture, and children’s furniture
• Bedding – organic sheets, pillows, mattress covers, throw pillows in wool, hemp, linen, and cotton
• More – yoga props, rugs, organic dog beds, tatami mats, folding foam beds, dining furniture, and shoji screens

We also offer custom-made sofas and sectionals, and 12-month no-interest financing through Synchrony.
