Lotus Blooming Herbs is a small, founder-led Ayurvedic supplement company based in Los Angeles. Our founder Johann Helf discovered Shilajit while studying meditation and Tibetan Medicine in India in 2000. Frustrated by an industry prioritizing marketing over quality, he began sourcing herbs directly from farmers and traditional healers — and built this company around that standard.

Most herbal supplement brands source in bulk with little transparency, resulting in old, diluted products. We source directly from indigenous farmers and traditional healers, cut out middlemen so farmers are fairly paid, use no fillers or additives of any kind, and apply modern delivery technology (supercritical CO2 extraction and liposomal encapsulation) for better bioavailability. Every product is something our founder personally uses and gives to his family. We’re members of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and the American Herbal Products Association, and have been featured in the LA Times, MindBodyGreen, and Organic Authority.
